Privacy Policy — MyDay Start
This page explains what MyDay Start holds about you, what it is used for, and what control you have over it. It covers the MyDay Start service operated by JAR Tech LLC.
The short version
- MyDay Start does not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts, and does not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you.
- You can talk with Mila without creating an account. Without one, the conversation can continue during your visit, but MyDay cannot preserve your personal trajectory for future visits.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Your day-to-day content is yours. You can ask for a copy of it, and you can ask us to delete it.
- Commercial recommendations are decided from limited, purpose-specific signals — never by handing your history to an advertiser.
What we collect
MyDay Start holds only what the parts of the product you actually use require. Internally we maintain a registry of every category of information the service can hold, which is what our export and deletion process works from.
MyDay Start maintains an internal registry of every category of data it holds, and its export and deletion process works from that registry rather than from a hand-written list.
Broadly, those categories are:
- Account and session — what is needed to sign you in and keep you signed in.
- Your content — what you write, plan and track inside MyDay: workspace, calendar and progress information.
- Assistant context — what Mila needs to stay coherent across days, and metering of assistant usage.
- Optional connected information — location, health or calendar signals, only where you have connected them and only for the feature you connected them to.
- Consent and disclosure records — what you were told and what you agreed to, kept so that both sides can check.
- Safety records — information related to abuse or misuse of the service.
- Commerce records — where a commercial recommendation was shown and whether you chose it.
What we use it for
To provide MyDay Start, to keep it working and secure, and to decide what — if anything — is worth showing you.
Commercial recommendations deserve their own explanation, because this is where products usually stop being specific. MyDay does not hand your conversation, calendar or workspace history to a commercial system. It extracts the smallest useful signal for the decision at hand — something closer to “a free evening on Saturday” than to the calendar entry that implied it — and the commercial layer sees only that.
Preferences can only ever remove categories of recommendation. This is structural rather than a promise: suppression is a separate kind of value in the system, with no positive form, so a preference that increases commercial content is not something the code can express.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies or similar technology to track you across other websites. If that ever changes, we will update this page before the change takes effect, not after.
Service providers
We use third-party service providers for web hosting, and for database, authentication and server infrastructure. If we begin working with affiliate networks, they will process referral records. We do not use advertising or analytics providers. We describe these by category rather than by name so that this page does not quietly go out of date.
Providers acting on our behalf may only handle information as needed to perform their service for us.
Affiliate and commercial partners
MyDay Start has no active affiliate or commercial partner relationships at this time. If that changes, and you choose a commercial recommendation, following it takes you to that partner’s own website, where their privacy policy applies rather than ours.
We record that a recommendation was shown and whether it was chosen, so that a partner can confirm the referral came from MyDay. That record identifies the referral — not your history.
Our affiliate and commercial disclosure explains the commercial relationship in full.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as your account is active and we need it to provide MyDay Start. When you ask us to delete it, we act on that request against our internal registry of data categories: most records are removed outright, some survive with your identity removed from them, and a small number are kept where there is a legal basis to keep them. We would rather describe this honestly than publish a fixed number of days that nothing in the system actually enforces.
Your choices
- Get a copy. Ask us for an export of the information associated with your account.
- Delete it. Ask us to delete your information. Some records are removed outright; some survive with your identity removed; a small number are kept where there is a legal basis, and we will tell you which.
- Correct it. Tell us if something is wrong.
- Limit recommendations. Ask us to suppress categories of commercial recommendation, or all of them.
We will acknowledge a request promptly and complete it without undue delay. We have not published a fixed deadline, because we would be committing to a number that nothing currently measures; if that changes, this page will state the period we hold ourselves to.
To make any of these requests, email jalemanup@gmail.com.
Children
MyDay Start accounts are intended for people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. MyDay Start does not currently ask for or verify a date of birth, so this is a condition of use rather than something the product enforces — we would rather say that plainly than imply a check that does not exist. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete the information associated with it.
Security
Access to your information is restricted at the database level rather than only in the application, so that a fault in one layer does not expose data on its own. Financial and attribution records are append-only: they can be added to, but not silently rewritten.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and we will change it before the new practice starts rather than afterwards.
